My work as a freelance writer and copy editor officially dates back to 2010, when I was hired as an arts writer for the Austin American-Statesman, reviewing plays and writing feature articles. For more than five years, I wrote weekly reviews - working to deadline and offering clear, concise critiques of theatrical productions in Austin. Some sample reviews:

For two years, i worked with Really Good Emails — the best showcase of email design and resources on the web. I was RGE's staff writer (or, as I liked to call myself, the resident wordsmith), heading up their push for interviews and articles published on Medium.

I've also worked with several companies to update the copy on their websites. Just a few examples include the co-working space Atlas Local, the design firm Fathom & Draft, and the software company DataDreamers.
